ARSONISTS struck five times overnight setting rubbish, a bin and two cars alight.

Firefighters from Edlington station attended the first deliberate rubbish fire at 7.30pm on Waverley Avenue, Balby.

The crew came away at 7.50pm.

Two cars were deliberately set on fire at 11.50pm on Midland Way, Wombwell.

Firefighters from Dearne, Tankersley and Cudworth stations tackled the blaze, leaving at 1.15am.

A bin was then deliberately set on fire at 4.05am on Woodfield Road, Balby.

Firefighters from Edlington station attended the incident.

They left at 4.20am.

Rotherham firefighters were later called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 5.15am on Stoddart Way, Parkgate.

The crew came away at 6.30am.
