‘Amazing’ health workers awarded

TWO employees at a health trust hailed as “amazing” have received accolades for going above and beyond in their work.

The Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) Awards turned the spotlight on staff and teams across the organisation with a variety of awards ranging from clinical team of the year and innovation award.

Matt Ellis (42), modern matron at Swallownest Court won the patient safety award, while the administration worker of the year title was taken by Shaun Fletcher, (54) lead for development support in Rotherham.

The awards, the first in-person event for two years due to Covid-19, were held at Doncaster Racecourse.

Kathryn Singh, chief executive of RDaSH, said: “The awards are a great way of celebrating success and saying thank you to our colleagues.  

“Sadly, the awards night can only say ‘well done’ to a few — and I want all our colleagues to know they are very much appreciated and help us to deliver excellent services to the people we serve.”
