Pedestrian "dies" after road traffic collision in Upper Haugh

A PEDESTRIAN has allegedly died after being in collision with a car in Upper Haugh this afternoon, according to an eye witness who contacted the Advertiser.

The witness said they had been out walking at the top of Green Rise when a “young lad lost control of his car, mounted the pavement and collided with” a pedestrian.

They said Yorkshire Air Ambulance attended the incident at around 1.15pm this afternoon.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance has been approached for comment.
