THE FATAL attack on 81-year-old Mushin Ahmed (pictured) was so forceful that it crushed his dentures and forced them from his mouth.

Prof Geoff Craig described at Sheffield Crown Court this morning how “heavily blood-stained” pieces of the pensioner's false teeth were found with him two hours after he was attacked.

The dental expert said stamping on one side of Mr Ahmed’s face or the other had caused an “explosive fracture of his upper denture, when it was expelled from the mouth”.

Causing the damage would require “considerable force”, he told jurors.

Dale Jones (30) of East Bawtry Road and Damien Hunt (30) of Doncaster Road both deny murdering Mr Ahmed.

The trial continues.
