Newburgh Engineering branches out into pelleting machines

ROTHERHAM firm Newburgh Engineering has established a separate company called Sizer Limited, after acquiring the Sizer name, which is internationally renowned across the pelleting industry.

Sizer Limited will manufacture its own bespoke pelleting machines under the famous Orbit brand, which originated in Hull in the 1920s and was one of the very first types of pelleting machines to be produced.

Since then, Orbit has become synonymous with high quality pellet production, as it still is today. Sizer Ltd will also provide spares and refurbishment services for Orbit and other types of pelleting machines.

Nick Finch, technical director at Sizer, who has been involved with the pelleting industry for over 30 years, said: "All over the world, the Sizer name is known for producing high quality pelleting machines and we are very excited about operating under this renowned name to manufacture and repair Orbit and other machines here in South Yorkshire. 

"It is fantastic to be able to build on this heritage, which goes back 100 years, and be able to strengthen our support for our existing animal feed customers while launching into exciting new markets with a tried and trusted brand. We think there are huge opportunities for us to grow our business both in the UK and internationally, based on our knowledge and expertise in the pelleting business."

Orbit pellet presses can be found across the world in a wide range of industries, including animal feed, food and drink processes, biomass and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF).

In addition, Sizer has the benefit of spare parts distribution centres in the UK and Holland, providing customers with the highest levels of service, while also partnering with international distributors in countries such as Canada, Japan & Australia.
