New surgery for Conisbrough

PLANS for a £6 million super-surgery will become reality after receiving the green light from council planners.

NHS Doncaster announced this week that work on the new Conisbrough Health Centre will start early next year and promised that a broader range of services will be available to the public following its planned completion date in autumn 2011.

The new facility will be built on the site of the village's current health centre, on Gardens Lane, and at around three times bigger than the current building, will provide a new base for Conisbrough Group Practice and Conisbrough Medical practice, along with a range of additional health services.
