New owners for bowling centre

A ROTHERHAM ten-pin bowling centre and health club is now under new ownership almost two years after going into administration.

Rotherham Superbowl and Oasis Health Club are now under new ownership, securing 60 jobs in the process.

The business was placed into administration in June 2014 but continued to trade as normal over that period whilst a buyer was sought by the administrator Price Waterhouse Cooper.

It will continue to trade under the same name but owned by a new locally-owned company, Oasis Health and Fitness Ltd.

General Manager Lee Barnes said: “I am extremely happy that the business has now secured its future.

“I have managed this business for the last 20 years and have seen the site develop dramatically over that time.

“I am delighted to continue in conjunction with the new company in developing the business further.

“There will be a substantial investment within the site, details of which will be announced once they are confirmed.”
