New factory plan for Manvers
A US engineering firm has announced plans to move its operations to Rotherham.
Thetford, which supplies, mobile sanitation systems, refrigerators, service doors and cooking equipment, is moving 180 staff from Sheffield to a new factory at Brookfields Park, Manvers.
The new plant will measure 83,000 square feet.
Thetford has applied to Rotherham Borough Council for planning permission and its plans can be seen on the council website at rotherham.gov.uk (application no RB2011/0437). Councillors are expected to rule on the plans later this month.
Brookfields Park, is one of South Yorkshire’s most successful regeneration schemes with high profile occupiers including Next, Maplin, Pegler and the Advertiser’s publishers, Garnett Dickinson.
