New chief officer for health group

THE new chief officer of NHS Doncaster Clinical Commisssioning Group has emphasised her commitment to health services across the borough.

Former chief of strategy Jackie Pederson has taken over from Chris Stainforth.

Ms Pederson, from Conisbrough, started her career within the NHS at the town’s Health Authority in 1994, before taking on a number of roles in Sheffield, Mansfield and Wakefield, coming back to Doncaster Primary Care Trust in 2004.

She said: “It’s a huge privilege to take on this important role at the CCG and being from Doncaster makes it even more important to me.

“We have a great team within the organisation and a really clear plan of what we’re trying to achieve for the people of Doncaster.

“I’m absolutely committed to providing the best quality health care for our residents so they have the NHS services they deserve.”

The first meeting of the new governing body will take place on Thursday, April 21 at Sovereign House, Heavens Walk, Doncaster.
