Nether Haugh accident numbers fall
NEW figures show that the number of road accidents blighting a village has fallen since traffic calming measures were set up over the summer.
Nether Haugh near Rotherham saw 25 accidents on the B6089 between January and May.
But since a speed indicator sign was set up in July the village has seen the number of incidents fall to five.
The Nether Haugh Community Partnership still claims that drivers are travelling too fast through the area.
