Murder probe: Man in court

A man is due to appear at court today charged with the murder of young mum Kerry Hellen Sneddon, who died at Rotherham General Hospital in the early hours of Monday.

Jason Neil O'Malley (39), of Whybourne Grove, Rotherham, is to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court this morning.

Police launched a murder investigation following the death of mum of two Ms Sneddon after an incident at the same address in Rotherham on Sunday. 

Ms Sneddon was found at the property shortly after 11.30pm and died in hospital in the early hours of Monday.

She leaves two children, a son aged two and a seven-year-old daughter.

An inquest into Ms Sneddon's death was opened and adjourned on Wednesday at Rotherham Coroner's Court.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity on Whybourne Grove between 10pm and midnight on Sunday.
