Mum and child escape house fire
A MUM and young child escaped safely from a house fire in Carlton early this morning.
A fire crew was called at 4am to a semi-detached property on Chapel Lane after clothes left on a hob began to smoulder.
The fire was brought under control within half-an-hour.
A fire service spokesman no-one was injured.
