Multi-million pound Rotherham manufacturing base opens

A NEW state-of-the-art £4.2 million manufacturing base in Rotherham has been declared officially opening for business.

Engineering firm Britcon completed the new building at the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) for the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

The 32,291 sq ft facility comprises five split level workshops and office space.

It is aimed at providing grow on space for advanced manufacturing and engineering businesses alongside the AMP Technology Centre.

The building was 50 per cent pre-let before opening.

Ian Chapman, regional manager at Britcon, said: “We are delighted to complete this major contract through our Yorkshire office.

“Our combined design and build capabilities and sector track record has successfully delivered a one stop solution for the HCA.”
