More dates for Darcy

SUPPORTERS of a little girl battling a terminal brain tumour have added more dates to their growing list of fund-raising events.

The fund-raisers are hoping to “make Darcy’s day” by helping five-year-old Darcy Jo Burke, from Darfield, and set up new charity Darcy’s Days to co-ordinate events.

The latest event is an evening of clairvoyance at Pastures Lodge in Mexborough on Wednesday, June 5 at 7pm.

Tickets priced at £10 are available from the Pastures Lodge or on 07951 487768.

Darcy was diagnosed in March with Diffuse Pontine Glioma, for which there is no cure.

Dad Dave said he and mum Joanne Willis aimed to make life “as much fun as possible” for Darcy and were keen to take her to Disneyland Paris if possible.

The five-year-old is undergoing radiotherapy treatment, which her parents hope will extend her life by up to nine months.
