Missing teenager found safe and well

The 14-year-old was located in Rotherham this afternoon.

Maria Muntean, of Dowcar Lane in Woodall, was last seen at  her home at 4.20pm on Sunday  and police said that she had  taken no money, phone or means of transportation.

Extensive enquiries were carried out by the police in South Yorkshire, the West Midlands, Spain and Romania.

She had recently moved with family to Rotherham from Spain.

The police thanked the local community for their assistance in trying to find the teenager.
