Mexborough veteran Frank rewarded seven decades on

WORLD War Two veteran Frank Garbutt (89) of Mexborough received the new Arctic Star medal for service in the Royal Navy on Friday.

He received the long overdue accolade from Doncaster's Civic Mayor, Cllr Eddie Dobbs, at a ceremony also attended by Mexborough MP Ed Miliband.
