Martek boss Paul passes on green expertise

AN ECO-friendly Rotherham firm has been giving green entrepreneurs a head start.

Martek Marine, based at Manvers, manufactures safety and emissions monitoring systems for the shipping industry.

And chief executive Paul Luen was among the speakers at a three-day event at Nottingham’s BioCity, one of Europe’s leading business incubators.

He said: “I’m passionate about championing entrepreneurialism and developing talent.

“The boot camp is a vibrant hands-on training and learning event where start-ups can network and meet potential business partners and investors as well as learn from experts how to enhance and improve their innovations and products.”

Sam Pick, director of Renewables Network, was also expected share his experience with the hundreds of fledging businesses attending the event.
