Man wanted in connection with assault

POLICE investigating an assault in which a 33-year-old man was seriously injured are trying to trace a man suspected of being responsible.

Officers are hunting for Steven Watkins (29) who is believed to be responsible for the incident that took place on Sunday, September 28 on Houghton Road, Thurnscoe.

Watkins is of no fixed abode, but police said is local to the Thurnscoe area.

Police warned that members of the public should not approach Watkins.

Anyone with information about his current whereabouts should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 510 of November 13.
