Man questioned over graveyard handbag snatch
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a pensioner’s handbag while she tended her husband’s grave.
The 80-year-old woman was in St Mary’s Church graveyard, St Mary’s Drive, Catcliffe, when the incident happened at around 2.35pm on March 8.
A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft following a public appeal for information.
The man, from the Treeton area, was arrested on suspicion of theft and bailed pending further enquiries.
