Man found guilty of manslaughter of Paul Dyson (38)

A JOINER has been found guilty of the manslaughter of a man he attacked at his Maltby home last year.

Adam Goodridge (31), of Huntington Way, Maltby, was today cleared of the murder of Paul Dyson (38), but found guilty of his manslaughter.

He will be sentenced tomorrow at Sheffield Crown Court.

The jury of seven men and five women took nine hours to reach their unanimous verdict.

Mr Dyson (38) was assaulted in his bungalow on Littlehey Close, Maltby, by Goodridge on October 30, 2015.

Goodridge, who denied murder, claimed he only punched Mr Dyson twice.

Mr Dyson, who had chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal failure, died five days later in hospital after suffering from three seizures and a fatal cardiac arrest.
