Man charged with 45 child sex offences

A MAN has been charged with 45 offences related to child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

As part of Operation Clover, police charged Arshid Hussain (40) of High Street, East Cowick, Goole, on Thursday (11 June) afternoon.

He has been charged with a string of offences including indecent assault, unlawful sexual intercourse and unlawful imprisonment.

He is also been charged with causing a child to be removed from their parent, assault, and procuring of a female to have sexual intercourse.

Hussain has been bailed to appear before Rotherham Magistrates Court on June 25 at 2pm.

Operation Clover is a joint investigation by South Yorkshire Police in partnership with Rotherham Borough Council and the Crown Prosecution Service.
