Man arrested over Maltby murder
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a Maltby man.
The 29-year-old suspect was in custody being interviewed by detectives in connection with the killing of a 38-year-old man, who has been named locally as Paul Sandford but not officially identified by police.
The victim was attacked at his home in Littlehey Close, Maltby, at around 1am last Friday and was still in hospital when he collapsed and died on Wednesday.
A police spokeswoman said: “Murder detectives continue to investigate the man's death and a number of forensic enquiries are being conducted.”
