Man accused over 30-year-old rape

A MAN has been charged with the rape of a 16-year-old girl in Rotherham nearly 30 years ago. Christopher Howard Sykes (45), of Hertfordshire, is accused of raping the girl in Canklow, in October 1981. Sykes appeared before Rotherham Magistrates’ Cour
A MAN has been charged with the rape of a 16-year-old girl in Rotherham nearly 30 years ago.

Christopher Howard Sykes (45), of Hertfordshire, is accused of raping the girl in Canklow, in October 1981.

Sykes appeared before Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

The case was adjourned until Friday (22) at Sheffield Crown Court.
