M1 smash victim named
A LORRY driver who died in a motorway smash in Rotherham hours after another crash involving two unmarked police cars has been named.
He was 40-year-old Christopher Smith, of Orchard Street, Wombwell.
Mr Smith died in a crash with another HGV on the same stretch of the M1 as the first collision between the two unmarked police cars and a vehicle carrying four children.
An investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission has now begun into the first crash.
