Locked out Laser offers services at Riverside House

CREDIT union customers locked out of their accounts can now access some services at Riverside House.

Rotherham Borough Council is helping Laser Credit Union, whose Old Town Hall offices were locked up by landlords last Saturday, to serve its users.

Dozens of people attending the Laser office this week found it closed, barring access to their savings, pensions and benefits.

But staff will be stationed at the council’s customer service centre until 4.30pm today (Wednesday), under a deal reached this morning.

They will return between 9am and 4.30pm tomorrow (Thursday) and again on Friday.
