Lidl helps brighten up Christmas for McDonalds

CHRISTMAS was a “Lidl” cheerier for one Mexborough family thanks to a community link-up with the German supermarket chain.

A £100 Christmas food hamper was presented to the McDonald family with help from Mexborough’s Food Aware and haulage firm JP Walton and son.

JP Walton and Lidl both donated £50 of goodies and Food Aware and Mexborough Children’s Centre chose a family to receive it.

Meanwhile, Mexborough’s Foodbank, which is run by Food Aware, has been relocated to Mexborough Children's Centre on Wath Road, Mexborough, and is open from 11am to 1pm.
