LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Where has Cllr Wooding gone?

AS a resident of Dinnington and a stakeholder in community project, I researched my local candidates last year before I voted.

When Cllr Wooding was elected as a borough councillor in Dinnington, by the highest majority I might add, I sent him an email to congratulate him – to which he quickly replied thanking me.

I then raised a complaint about an issue I had with a local housing developer and he quickly replied saying “I’m speaking to them for you” – in fairness he did then ask for more details of the problem and copy me into an email with the developer.

Unfortunately this was the last email I ever received from Cllr Wooding.

Now after almost eight months, three attempted phone calls and, sadly, seven unanswered emails, I wonder if Mr Wooding is ever going to reply to me?

As a borough councillor, if you don’t want to do the job you were elected for and in turn respond back to the people who voted for you, then you should give your seat up to someone who wants to do the job – I bet he would respond to the council when they are paying your wages!

I understand I can speak to the other Dinnington councillors, but out of principle for the man I voted for, I want Cllr Charlie Wooding to respond to me.

Understandably a lot of councillors are active on Facebook, but I never see anything of Cllr Wooding — maybe he will pop back into the public arena at election time?

Sadly, I find the behaviour of Cllr Charlie Wooding disgracefully unacceptable after eight months and I am left wondering where has Cllr Wooding gone and will he ever respond to any of my emails?
