Laura fails in bid to take Sri Lanka title
Former Miss Intercontinental England and Miss Scuba UK finalist Laura did not get into the last three of the Miss Tourism Sri Lanka contest on Sunday, February 21.
Despite missing out on the main title, Laura (28), from Laughton en le Morthern, was successful in the Nature Queen mini pagaent in the competition.

Hide AdShe was one of 20 ambassadors from across the globe who have been touring Sri Lanka to experience charity dinners, street parades, street food markets and cultural events before the final grand pageant.
Organisers hoped the event would promote Sri Lanka as a tourist destination.
Laura said: “Unfortunately, I didn’t get a place in the top three.
“I have, however, made some new lifelong friends including winner Vera from the Netherlands and especially my room mate Miss USA.

Hide Ad“I did win the mini pageant Nature Queen so I am coming home with a crown and lots of lovely gifts from our sponsors.
“The other delegates and I got on really well and I’m sure we will stay in touch.
“There were lots of tears as I said my goodbyes and headed off to the airport.
“I’ve been away more than two weeks so I’m really looking forward to catching up with my family and I have a fashion show booking for next week at the NEC so I won’t be off the catwalk for long.”
