Judges pay a visit to discover Rotherham's delights

THE judges have been and gone and Rotherham’s fate in the Great British High Street Awards is in the balance.

Three judges – Alana Renner, Ana Pasante and Thomas Lovesy – called in on the town today and spent over an hour walking around.

They were shown how the town centre is developing and called in at shops such as Baby Blossom and creative writing initiative Grimm and Co.

Despite the rain, the judges were shown what is happening in the town centre and were suitably impressed.

Judge Alana Renner told the Advertiser: “I think one of my highlights is the positivity around.”

Rotherham is is the final three of the Town Centre category alongside Tamworth and Altrincham.

Half of the final decision depends on a public vote and Rotherham folk are being urged to support their town at thegreatbritishhighstreet.co.uk as the November deadline looms.
