Jive Bunny lights up the town

ROTHERHAM kicks off Christmas this week with a performance from music legend Jive Bunny.

A Christmas party mix from the Parkgate-based veteran DJ and a giant karaoke screen are out to get revellers in the festive spirit on Thursday afternoon.

The free event, which regularly sees 5,000 people packed into All Saints’ Square, will start at 4.30pm.

There will be music from Bruvvas Blue, an appearance from the cast of this year’s pantomime, Aladdin, and a special Christmas market on Effingham Street, as well as children’s rides and entertainment.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham, Cllr John Foden and Mrs Kath Foden, will be officially bringing the festive lights to life at 6pm.

All parking in council-owned car parks and on-street parking bays are free on the night from 4.30pm.
