Jason Derulo's Motorpoint Arena date off

MULTI-PLATINUM singer and songwriter Jason Derulo has had to cancel a South Yorkshire gig after seriously injuring himself in a bizarre accident during rehearsals for his world tour.

Derulo (22) was due to appear at the Sheffield Motorpoint Arena on February 25 as part of a world tour to promote his album, Future History.

But the star has had to cancel after he fractured a vertebra in his neck when he landed directly on his head while attempting an acrobatic move during training for the tour.

Doctors in Miami told him he could have been paralysed, but he has now been released from hospital. He will have to wear a neck brace for the next few months.

Anybody who bought tickets from his Sheffield appearance is being asked to return them for a refund.
