It's summertime at recycling centres

COUNCIL recycling centres have moved onto summer opening hours after the clocks went forward.

Lighter nights mean later closing times at Rotherham Borough Council’s four household waste recycling centres, with the gates opening at 10am and closing at 6.30pm every day.

The four centres are at Car Hill, Greasbrough; Lidget Lane, Bramley; Warren Vale, Rawmarsh; and Magilla, North Anston.

A council spokeswoman said: “Householders are asked to assist in recycling by sorting out their waste.

“Separate containers are provided at all the centres for many different types of waste and the attendants at each centre are available to offer guidance and assistance in sorting waste into the appropriate containers for recycling.”
