Investigation launched into cause of house fire

PEOPLE had to be evacuated from their homes following a blaze at a neighbouring property.

Five fire engines were called to Norborough Road, Tinsley, at around 12.15am on Sunday, October 23.

A fire service spokesman said crews from Parkway, Rotherham and Elm Lane used a turntable ladder to fight the blaze from above.

No-one was injured in the incident but the spokesman said some properties had to be evacuated as a precaution.

An investigation has been launched into the cause of the blaze.
