Investigation after blaze at pensioner's bungalow
A PENSIONER had to escape his home after a fire spread through its kitchen.
Firefighters were called to a bungalow on Whitehill Avenue, in Brinsworth, at around 4.40pm yesterday (Thursday).
A fire service spokesman said the man was already out of the property when the crew arrived to find the home well alight.
He said the fire was in the kitchen and hallway area.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the blaze.
