ROTHERHAM could see up to 360 new jobs under plans to build two hi-tech factories at The Advanced Manufacturing Park.

The plans by Rolls-Royce, who carried out a public consultation yesterday at the Catcliffe park, initially include two factories being built within in two years and employing around 360 people.

One factory, to be built alongside the Advanced Manufacturing Park Technology Centre and dubbed the Advanced Blade Casting Facility, would make turbine blades.

A second plant– ‘Project Power’– is likely to be built at the same time, behind the Advanced Blade Casting Facility and dedicated to making safety critical components for civil nuclear reactors.
