Horror accident log flume to be sold off

A SEASIDE fairground ride on which a Rotherham woman and her great-niece suffered serious injuries last summer is being dismantled.

Safety experts are still investigating the accident on the Jungle River log flume on the seafront in Bridlington in August which left Mrs Ann Smallwood (58), and her great-niece Isabella (4), with leg injuries.

But a spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive has confirmed that site inspection activity was complete and the ride was being dismantled for sale.

The ride has been closed since the accident, which is believed to have happened when the log flume jammed.
