Hooton Roberts hay bales set alight

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended Holmes Lane at 5.40am, where 14 bales were on fire.

They were at the scene for about 90 minutes and the blaze is believed to have been started deliberately.

Last night, there was a deliberate fire involving old furniture and rubbish at Great Eastern Way in Parkgate.

Firefighters were there for about 20 minutes after receiving the call at 8.40pm.

And around the same time there was another deliberate fire involving rubbish at Doe Quarry Lane in Dinnington.
