Holmes fire no longer burning

Five engines were at the scene on Steel Street at the height of the blaze.

A South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue spokesperson said at 2.15pm: “Our firefighters have now left the scene but they will carry out a re-inspection later this afternoon to ensure the incident is completely dealt with. 

“Well done to our crews who managed to get the fire under control so quickly.”
