Have you seen this “aggressive” bird?
AN AGGRESSIVE large bird is on the loose and is believed to be in the Rother Valley area.
The Rhea, an ostrich-like flightless bird, escaped from Carlton-in-Lindrick near Worksop, on Monday and there have now been reported sights in the Dinnington area.
Police officers from Rotherham have joined in the search and said anyone who sees the bird, which can reach speeds of up to 40mph, should call 999.
The South American native bird is 6ft tall and the breed is capable of disembowelling a human with its six-inch claws.
