Hairdresser Jodie aims to be a TV ‘hottie’

Jodie Brooks (23) was headhunted by a TV production agency to appear on the 5star show 100% Hotter after TV executives saw her turn on Channel 4’s Coach Trip in 2014.

“I was a little apprehensive at first - I didn't want to look a fool,” she said.

Jodie, who works at Adele the Salon in Wickersley, said her second national TV appearance was “like being on a film set”, and totally different to Coach Trip, in which she visited six different countries.

Jodie underwent a “make-under” for the show, and was stripped back to her natural state, free of any make-up, fake tan or false eyelashes — with mixed results.

“When I saw myself in the mirror, I wasn't taken by it,” she admitted.

And Jodie, of Westfield Road, Parkgate, may not be finished with her budding TV career yet.

“I’d love to go on First Dates,” she said. “I wouldn't get nervous at all when I was sitting there waiting for my man.”
