Gunshots man arrested

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was arrested for firing gunshots at a door.

Officers were called to an address in Mexborough, believed to be Maple Road, at around 9pm on Friday after they received a report of a gun being fired.

Nobody was injured during the incident but a 41-year-old man was arrested and is currently on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anybody who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact the police on 101 and quote incident number 1185 of 25 November 2011.
