Girl returns to Parkgate nursery

A CHILDREN’S nursery which celebrates 20 years today has taken on its newest recruit — who attended the centre herself as a toddler.

Apprentice Millie Boot (17) went to Granby in Parkgate as a youngster and is now pursuing a career in childcare.

Nursery director Jo Gray said: “We are celebrating 20 years in the business, which must make us one of the longest standing in the town.

“We have cared for more than 2,000 children at our Parkgate centre alone and some of the original practitioners still work with me.

“And our newest recruit used to come to the nursery and has now started work with us as an apprentice.”

The chain has three nurseries, all rated outstanding by Ofsted and two of which are in Rotherham.
