Giant sandpit and grass sledging at Maltby Festival

A GIANT sandpit and grass sledging are just some of the attractions of Maltby Festival which starts this weekend.

The festival’s Gala Day will be held on Sunday from 10am to 4pm in Coronation Park, featuring sports events, competitions, stalls, food, games and more.

On Monday, It’s a Knockout takes place in Coronation Park from 5pm to 8pm and anyone wanting to join in should book at the park at 4pm.

Tuesday will feature Maltby by the Sea from 10am to 4pm, with a giant sandpit, Patsy’s fun show and ponies among the attractions at Coronation Park.

Grass sledging in Cherry Tree Park is the order of the day on Wednesday, from 6pm to 8pm.

Thursday is a princess and pirates day at Coronation Park from 11am to 3pm, with a treasure hunt, fancy dress and games.
