Gardeners prepare for Harthill show

Green-fingered exhibitors will be able to bring along their prize produce along to the Harthill and District Garden Association’s event from 5.30pm to 8pm Friday and 8am to 2pmon Saturday.

Members of the public can attend the free show — held at Harthill Village Hall, on Winney Hill — from 5.30pm to 8pm tomorrow and from 10am until 4pm on Sunday.

Organisers will welcome that Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham, Cllr John Foden and his wife Kath, to officially open the event top the public on Saturday afternoon.

An array of prizes will be up for grabs to green-fingered growers who enter their produce in one of the numerous competition categories.

Light refreshments and a cake sale will also take place at the show.
