Free micro-chipping for dogs

Rotherham Borough Council and the Dogs Trust are holding the session between 10am and 2pm.

The animals must be 12 weeks old and can not have had fleas for at least 24 hours before being chipped. 

The health check covers eyes, ears, teeth, coat and general fitness but not veterinary treatments.

A council spokeswoman said: “Owners are reminded that from April next year it will be required for all dogs to be micro-chipped by law.”
