Former teacher dies at 73

TRIBUTES have been paid to a retired teacher who also worked for the Samaritans and was on the governing body of a community venue.

Colin Davies, who lived in Wath and taught chemistry at Wath Comprehensive School for more than 30 years, was 73 when he died.

As well as his teaching and working for the Samaritans for several years, Mr Davies was on the governing body of Montgomery Hall in Wath.
