Firm's £100 million milestone

Bumper trade has taken a Rotherham business past the unprecedented milestone of £100 million of sales.

Industrial seal maker AESSEAL clocked up the landmark figure 11 days before the end of the year—the first time it has enjoyed trade stretching into nine figures.

Managing director Chris Rea, who is celebrating 30 years with the firm, described the figure as “a fantastic achievement.”

This year’s total is expected to top £103 million—up £19 million on 2009.

“I am personally delighted at the attainment of this important milestone,” Mr Rea said.

“It’s a tribute to a fantastic group of people, my co-workers, who have put the customer at the heart of our business.”
