Firework causes rubbish fire and van torched in Wombwell


A FIREWORK was deliberately used to set rubbish alight and a van was torched in Wombwell last night.
Firefighters from Dearne station were called out to Aldham House Lane at 8.10pm.
A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said a firework had been deliberately used to set fire to rubbish and leaves.
"The crew left the scene after 20 minutes," she added.
Then in the early hours of this morning, a crew from Cudworth station were called out to Wombwell Lane at 3.40am to a van deliberately set on fire.
They left the scene at 4.35am.
