Fire crews tackle Swinton garden blaze
THERE was extensive damage to a garden in Swinton after a fire in the early hours today (Wednesday).
Fencing, conifers and a gazebo were damaged in the accidental blaze, which also affected the outside of the Valley Road house.
A gas cylinder at the scene was not damaged but had to be cooled by firefighters, who were called from Dearne and Rotherham stations.
They were at the scene from about 2.30am until 4am.
