Fire crews called to Swinton basement blaze
FIRE crews tackled four accidental and deliberate fires all over Rotherham today.
Three fire engines attended an accidental fire in a basement on Church Street, Swinton at 12.20pm today.
The crews from Dearne, Rotherham and Edlington came away around 1.45pm.
There was a “fire in the open” at School Street, Thurnscoe.

Hide AdThe firefighters called to the scene at 10.10am and left almost two hours later, around noon.
Aston crews were called to a deliberate rubbish fire at 12.40pm on Southwell Road, Rawmarsh. They left the scene at 1.25pm.
Rotherham fire fighters attended an accidental garden waste fire at 2.20pm on Cambridge Street, Clifton, and came away half an hour later.
